A little life update: I’m kind of in my feels these days. And I hope it’s okay to be honest with you here.
After 20 years in the U.S. Army, my husband has officially submitted his retirement packet.
That means in 2026, we’ll be moving back to the United States after nearly 8 years of living abroad. It’s exciting… but also completely terrifying. Reverse culture shock is real. I’ve changed so much through the years—living in Poland, South Korea, and now Italy—traveling, hiking, healing, and creating a life that feels deeply meaningful.
It’s taken me some time to feel okay with this next chapter. Truthfully, some days I still don’t. But I’m learning to sit with both the grief and the gratitude. It’s okay to hold both.
✨ Jordan Took My Breath Away
In the middle of all these emotions, I traveled to Jordan—and it moved me in ways I’m still processing.
The rust-red dunes of Wadi Rum, the ancient trails in Dana Biosphere, the rose-colored walls of Petra, and the golden hour over Umm Qays… it was all straight out of a storybook—but real. The food, the people, the hospitality—it stuck with me so much.
So much so that I’m seriously considering hosting a group trip to Jordan in April 2026. 😲 I am working out the details right now...
A company actually reached out after seeing my stories on Instagram, and we’re in early talks now. How cool is that?
Would you want to come? I’ll share more details in my next newsletter, but if your heart’s already saying yes, I’d love to hear from you.
In the meantime, here are two new posts to help you feel the magic:

Thank you, as always, for being here. I know inboxes are crowded and noisy—so the fact that you open and read mine? It means more than you know.

Until next time—see you on the trail (or online).
With heart,
Kimberly
